Martin Meir has been both a triathlete and a composite engineer since 1987; a long time. His passions for both grew alongside each other for a long time, constantly getting ever closer to becoming one. He'd sketched ideas of bicycle designs in the 90s amidst the innovation the industry was seeing using carbon fibre in bicycles.
The two passions finally collided in 2014 when he decided that it was time to pursue his dream of designing the fastest triathlon bike in the world. Triathlon's sparse ruleset governing bicycle design provided the perfect platform.
Despite seeking advice from others within the UK composites landscape, Martin had to learn the majority of the development and manufacturing processes by himself due to a lack of specific knowledge locally. Little did he know, this would provide him a significant advantage over the rest of the industry. Through having to develop his own processes, as opposed to adopting those existing ones used by the whole industry, he was able to find a more advanced methodology, that although is less cost-effective, yields a significantly higher performing bike when it hits the road.
It has taken ten years for the team to perfect this process in our UK factory, and the embodiment of all that work can be seen today throughout our product lineup.
We won't boast about the decades of experience our team has. We won't reel off the list of international companies that our engineers have worked for, or the global projects they've delivered.
We'll just tell you that every Monday, we come to the factory wondering how we can improve that coming week. We approach every project believing that we can develop a more potent riding experience, that we can reach higher peaks of performance. We approach every project with an open box approach; we are not confined to what we know or already have at our disposal, and can pull from the wider engineering world to make leaps and bounds with our capabilties.
We set the bar that we work to. Having worked with some of the best athletes in the world, including the most successful cycling Olympian of all time, Sir Jason Kenny, we have come to see the heights of the standards our bikes need to meet. That's why every bike we make is designed and manufactured to carry the best athletes in the world to their best level of performance yet. This way, no matter how big or small your performance goals are, you know that you have the best equipment for the job.
